Through this interactive competitive platform, individuals apply strategic thinking and enterprise risk management techniques to navigate uncertainty and safeguard organisational outcomes. With over 1,000 industry-specific case studies and 27,000 evolving risk scenarios, GOER challenges participants to demonstrate advanced problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, negotiation, and analytical reasoning under pressure.
Tasked with protecting a simulated company from hypothetical yet realistic external shocks, teams must mitigate risks through strategic actions, critical thinking, and collaboration—mirroring real-world enterprise resilience. GOER reinforces IRM’s mission of making risk everyone’s responsibility by bridging the gap between theory and practice and positioning risk management as a strategic imperative across sectors and disciplines. The National GOER Competition is exclusively open only to undergraduate and postgraduate students across India and runs annually from January to July.
