The Institute of Risk Management, India Affiliate (IRM India Affiliate), has announced the appointment of Mr. Shailesh Haribhakti, Chairman of Shailesh Haribhakti & Associates, as Senior External Advisor on its Governance Board. As the institute's highest governing authority, the Governance Board works closely with IRM's global leadership and the teams managing its qualifications and examinations, to uphold the highest standards of governance, accountability, and integrity in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) education.
Mr. Haribhakti brings decades of expertise in corporate governance. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Financial Planner, and Certified Fraud Examiner, he serves as Chairman, Audit Committee Chairperson, and Independent Director on the boards of several leading Indian organizations, including Torrent Pharmaceuticals, Bennett Coleman & Company Limited (Times Group), ACC, Ambuja Cements, and Bajaj Electricals Limited. He also serves as Non-Executive Chairman of Blue Star Limited and L&T Mutual Fund Trustee Limited, among other prominent organizations.
